SHARON PRINGLE
BORN 1959 – ZAMBIA
Sharon Pringle was born in Zambia in 1959 where she spent her early childhood and learnt to love and appreciate nature and the Zambezi wilderness.
Sharon studied to become a physiotherapist but left her career to concentrate on her art full time in 1993.
Subject matter and inspiration are drawn from Sharon’s own life experiences - life in the Karoo, line fishing with fishermen, cycle trips and travels throughout Southern Africa.
Using a “thin” technique of oils and solvent, Sharon is able to conjure hazy coastal scenes which evoke happy times at the seaside.
